Hello from sunny (and sometimes rainy) Florida!

We had a fantastic time at our showing of Lost Boy: The Documentary on Wednesday night at Calvary Chapel of Kendall. Some 1,300 people packed out two showings, followed by a short message I gave. We also saw many people come to Christ.

Pedro Garcia, the pastor of Calvary Chapel of Kendall, has blogged about it. To read that, click here.

Also, the Riverside Press-Enterprise (the local paper where Harvest is located) just did a very positive article about my life story. Click here to read it.

Calvary Chapel of Fort Lauderdale

I am speaking for Bob Coy at the church he pastors, Calvary Chapel of Fort Lauderdale, this weekend. I will speak Saturday night, and then we will show the Lost Boy film. I will also speak at all of his morning services.

So, if you know anyone in Florida, or if you are here, come join us.

Interview opportunities

Speaking of interviews, I have been doing a TON of them for Lost Boy and I have a lot more to do. I am thankful for this opportunity to use my story to point to HIS story, but I have to admit I am bit worn out. So if you would remember me in your prayers, I would greatly appreciate it.

The enemy is always attacking, and trying to get me off target, but it only makes me more determined to  do what I do-which is to do everything I can to bring the gospel to our culture today. Because there is no other hope.

God bless you all,

    Hi Greg,

My family and I were at the 10:15am service last Sunday in Fort Lauderdale and I have to tell you that your story touched me deeply. I have watched you and Harvest Crusades for years and have always been moved by the way God is using you to bring thousands to Christ.

Sunday morning was incredible. I was sitting 4 rows from the front and when you were giving the alter call, I put my arm around my son and hugged him and told him that I love him. At the very instance that I had my arm around my son, I looked up at you and you looked right at me and smiled. Thank you for that.

I felt such emotion from your story of your childhood, that it brought me to tears. I have and will always be a father that tells his children daily that I love them.

Thank you for sharing with us Sunday and I will chat with you someday when we are all together in Glory. God Bless Greg. You are loved by our family!

    Love in Christ,
    Daniel van Gorkom

You will be in my prayers! If anything I’ve learned from growing up in church is that the congregation has a responsibility to pray for their pastors because they are just as human as we are.

And keep on doing it, Greg! Politicians can mow down the “weeds,” only Jesus can uproot the weeds altogether. Jesus is the ONLY cure, if you will, for our world’s ills.

P.S. The more I think about the Lost Boy movie, the more inspired I am to find ways to reach our culture for Christ. Praise God for what He has done in and with your life. Praying for you.

Yes, Greg, they call it the Sunshine State, but those of us who live here know better! Welcome to South Florida. Look west and wave, you’re right across the state from me. Nice to see that you visit our coast.

Enjoy your stay. Remember, stay away from the lightning!

    Pastor Greg,
I live near Chicago, Illinois, and listen to your podcasts all the time. I am praying for God to give you strength and energy to keep sharing the powerful, life-changing news of the gospel, just as you have done throughout your ministry. Thank you so much for your courage and boldness for Christ. You are a real encouragement to me.

  7. Teri says:

It’s amazing how God uses all things for His glory, big and small, good and bad! I pray that the Lord will renew your strength, and keep you going strong! You so remind me of the apostle Paul, in how you present the gospel to others. God Bless you, Pastor Greg, you are truly and inspiration for us all. In His Love, Teri
