Lost Boy on Focus on the Family!

Today and tomorrow, my personal story will be told on the Focus on the Family radio program with Dr. James Dobson. I am so thankful to Dr. Dobson (who always tells me to call him Jim) for airing this.

Focus is on countless stations all around the world, and I trust that God will use my story to inspire others.

Lost Boy movie/message event a huge success in Florida

As you know,I showed the Lost Boy film at two churches in Florida this last week, Calvary Chapel of Kendall (pastored by Pedro Garcia) and Calvary Chapel of Fort Lauderdale (pastored by Bob Coy).

I have to say I was stunned by the response to it. Hundreds of people have come to Christ in these showings. I mean, hundreds!

So many have shared their personal “Lost Boy/girl” stories with me. It seems everyone either knows a Lost Boy or lost girl or is/was one. I thank God for His powerful hand that has been upon this whole endeavor.

I am looking forward to doing more of these events, and we are receiving many invitations to hold these special “Lost Boy movie/message” events all around the country. I have announced some, but more are coming. Perhaps even in your town!

Lost Boy on International TV!

Don’t forget that the Lost Boy film is airing Internationally this week on the Daystar TV network. It will also be webcast live. The dates are July 3 at 9:00 A.M., 6:00 P.M., and 10:00 P.M. (all times Pacific).

I must say, you are an inspiration. I remember hearing you preach at Harvest in Raleigh, North Carolina, last summer. It was an amazing time. It also opened up my life to a very cherished friendship. A church member that I hadn’t been very close to prior to Harvest attended the event with me. Not long after that event this individual opened up to me about some of the personal struggles she was dealing with. I felt a strong pull to be there for her and fight for her and sacrifice myself for her as Jesus did for us. I watched her go through some rough times and I don’t regret being there for her. But in recent times, the friendship we’ve had has hit very rocky times and while I haven’t been the best of friends to her, I still care. I have reached a very dark place in my life and have had to seek help from medication and from additional doctors in order to deal with my severe depression. It’s been hard. It’s been beyond hard. It’s been torture but I know God is working. I know God is listening and I know He cares. I know He loves me. Now I have been given hope and while I haven’t been the best friend I could’ve been although I tried, although I messed up and I messed up big recently, God still loves me and I still have hope of a better and brighter tomorrow. I already see it turning around.

I write to say may God bless you and your family in this trying time. But I also wanted to thank you for being such an inspiration. I listen to your podcast each time a new episode hits the air waves. Your most recent one of “I Still Believe” has been the most meaningful and inspirational I’ve heard. Thank you for that. The strength you’ve shown through this tragedy is amazing and God bless you and your family. You are truly a blessing in my life and here I am 2500 miles away, in Greenville, North Carolina. But you’ve touched my life in a great way. I thank God for that and I pray for your family.
