Brittany shares from her heart about Christopher

Hello everyone!

Since the departure of my son Christopher to heaven, one of the questions I get asked the most is, “How is Brittany (Christopher’s wife) doing?”

In this video interview, we talk about that very question, and how she has put her trust in the Lord during this time. I think you will see why I dedicated my new book to her, “a courageous young woman of God.”

Let Brittany know what you think, as she’ll be reading your comments.

As Christians, the death of a loved one is bittersweet..especially if they had an incurable disease…their pain is finally over.
My beautiful daughter Noelle was stricken with Leukemia when she was 2 and battled for 8 years…

I look forward to a wonderful reunion with her one day…however, although we know where are loved ones are and we must continue the pain is always there.

I will continue to pray for peace, comfort and strength for you as God continues to use you to touch the hearts of others. Thank you for sharing. I know that you and Pastor Greg have made a difference in the lives of many who have experienced similiar loss.

Thank you for sharing your painful story. My brother passed away last week at age 53. He had cancer that was diagnosed only two months ago. Your words are very helpful. Please pray for his wife and 22-year-old son, who has lung cancer and is waiting to have surgery soon. You and your children are in my prayers.

I am a fairly young woman who lost her husband almost a year ago. I know your pain. I have been a Christian for five years and my husband did not come to faith until less than 12 hours before he passed away. You and I both know the amazing peace we have in our hearts knowing that our husbands went to heaven. That makes all the difference in me and my young daughter’s world, and that is what keeps us strong. God has placed many people in my life since my husband’s death, and I have used those opportunities to tell people the peace they too can have by giving their lives over to Him.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about how you are coping. I plan on using your idea of the journal and writing down Scripture that helps you because I know it will help me to. Stay strong! I will continue to pray for you and your daughters, because even though time marches on, the feelings of loss stay strong and sneak up on us when we least expect it. As long as we keep God as the center of our lives, His strength will carry us through. If I can give you some advise, one of my favorite poems is “Footprints in the Sand” because it reminds me daily that Jesus is the strength and it is He who gets us through the hard times, whether we remember at the time or not. May God bless you and your family.

Thank you for being a strong Christian woman,
    Nancy G
