We had a great opening night for the Chicago Harvest!

Last night kicked off the 2010 Chicago Harvest at Allstate Arena, and what a night it was!

Amazing music from the David Crowder Band, Heather Headley, The Katinas, and the Local Gospel Choir was followed by a message that I gave , titled, “What Do You Live For?”

In attendance were 14,500 people, and when the invitation was given to receive Christ or make a recommitment, 944 responded.

Please pray for these individuals—that each of them would “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).

You can check out a slideshow of the Friday night Harvest by going here.

Tonight, there will be music from Skillet, Kirk Franklin, and The Katinas. If you are in the area, be sure not to miss it. Gates open at 4:30 P.M. (CDT).

If you can’t be here in person, you can watch the webcast live at chicago.harvest.org. The event starts at 6:00 P.M. (CDT). Also, it’s not too late to share this event on Facebook or Twitter, or to send an e-vite to a friend.

Please continue to pray for myself, our team, the performing artists, and all the Harvest staff and volunteers, as they prepare for the remaining two nights of the Chicago Harvest.

I watched right in front of me last night on that floor, a 17 yr. old girl weeping as she held her friends hand, who had brought her, and humbly accepted Christ as her saviour! Wow! The Holy Spirit then told me very clearly to talk to her and we had a wonderful conversation. I texted her on the way home back and forth for a 1/2 hr.

My daughter and I attended the Friday crusade and it was awesome. My daughter rededicated her life to Christ. How wonderful that was. I pray the rest of the weekend is just as good.
