This Sunday at Harvest!

Do remember when you were in cchool and there would be “pop quizzes”?

I hated those.

Reason being, I was rarely prepared for the announced tests, much less the ones that came by surprise.

I have news for you . . .God gives “pop quizzes” too.

But why?

To see if we are learning what He is seeking to teach us.

Why are there trials?

James reminds us, “When all kinds of trials and temptations crowd into your lives, my brothers,
don’t treat them as intruders but as friends! Realize that they come to TEST YOUR FAITH
and to produce in you the quality of endurance. But let the process go on until that endurance is fully developed, and you will find you have become men of mature character, men of integrity with no weak spots.”

The way to pass this test is to see your utter inability to do anything on your own (see James 1:2).

This Sunday at Harvest Riverside

I will be speaking on the topic of why God allows tests in our lives and what we can learn from them this Sunday at Harvest in my message, “Dinner with Jesus.”

We will also be having a special communion service as well, where we will remember together the great sacrifice Jesus Christ made for us.

The service times are at 7:45/9:45/11:45 am and 5:00 pm.

It will all be webcast live at

Hi Greg, I am a follower of your church for years and my husband and I are relocating to the Houston, Texas area. I would like to know if you know of any church in the area that we may be able to continue to follow gods word as we are following it with you at Harvestce. This past month my husband has been watching live(in Texas) as I attend the 7:45 service while I am still here in California. Could you please give us a few options.. God Bless..

Just to say that I have been enjoying listening to your sermons lately; I also liked the sermon given by Jon Courson on bitterness which you have in your site’s archives – from your introduction to that teaching, I take it you know Jon quite well. Thanks for everything, and keep up the good work.
