Do you Love God?

Most Christians, if asked, would answer a resounding “Yes!” to that question.

After all, Scripture tells us we are to “Love the LORD our God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our  mind” (Matthew 22:37).

But what does that mean exactly?

We will explore this together, this Sunday at Harvest Riverside and Orange County in a message from the Follow Me! series from the Gospel of Matthew. The title of the message is “Loving God.”

Father’s Day

Don’t forget this Sunday is Father’s Day as well. Bring dad to church, as we will ask God to bless each and every father that comes.

I believe that fathers are the unsung heroes of our culture today. I am speaking of dads that stand by their families and are spiritual leaders as well. A rare breed indeed.

New Zealand Crusade coming!

As you may know, the first Harvest Crusade of 2011 is happening next weekend in the beautiful country of New Zealand. We have been invited by hundreds of churches to hold an evangelistic event at the Vector Arena in Auckland, NZ. This even will be available for viewing at

So, remember the county of New Zealand in prayer. To find out more about this event, go to

Dear Pastor Laurie, in 1982 I received the Lord in my life at Harvest Christian Church in Riverside Calif. My husband Dennis as well accepted the Lord. We loved how much you loved the Lord. We attended Harvest in Riverside for a couple of years. I remember stories you would illustrate using your family to help guide us, and too help us understand God’s Word… I just recently found out your son died. And I just wanted to tell you my heart is filled with so much sorrow for you,and your families loss. My husband and I have never found a pastor whom we felt touched us with God’s Word with such conviction, with so much passion, and I personally wanted to thank you. Today I am so in love with The Lord thy God, and commit several hours a day reading his glorious Word . I know that every precept, and every line upon the line is vital to understanding. i pray for your hearts healing, and we know God does not put more on us than we can handle, and he is always there to comfort us; We just need to take a breath and listen to what He;;; the Lord is saying!!!! Praise The Our Father which is in heaven, for he is to be praised. Holy, and marvelous is his kindness, his tender mercies shield us in time of trouble; when we make the effort to hear Him. So with all thanksgiving I am thankful he gave us you, to help him, help us.
    With Devotion, Carolyn Hecker
