What on Earth Is Happening?

A man walks into a crowded midnight showing of the new Batman film, “The Dark Knight Rises” and opens fire.

Twelve people are killed, fifty-eight wounded, eleven critically. It is one of the deadliest mass shootings in in recent U.S. history. The shooter says to the police that he is “The Joker.”

What on earth is happening?

Continued violence erupts in the Middle East.

People are shot in the streets of Syria by their government.

Israelis going on vacation have their bus blown up.

A showdown between Iran and Israel seems inevitable.
What is happening here?

These are all signs of the times, reminding us that things are going to get worse on this earth before they get better. Signs of the times pointing to one thing: Antichrist is coming.

But I have good news!
Before Antichrist can emerge, Jesus Christ will come for His people.

This Sunday at Harvest I want to talk about these events and what is to come, in my message “The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.”

You can join us live at either Harvest Riverside or Orange County.
It will all be webcast live at www.harvest.org.

My husband is a fireman in So Cal, he and his fellow firemen friends are growing more and more weary to understanding why would God who can do anything let things like this happen. They have been like this since 9/11 and although it hit firemen and others hard back then the effects are still here. The other thing is my husband and friends are paramedics and watch people die, watch kids lose their moms from breast cancer, watch innocent babies die of SIDS, watch people die from tragedies and disease constantly. All this not only has effected them psychologically but spiritually. I spend hours defending God to my husband and friends but sometimes I don’t even know how to answer because I don’t know. I just put my full faith in God because that’s what I do, but they can’t seem to put their faith in God anymore. They challenge everything I say. I am not a pastor I don’t have all the answers correctly but I get so frustrated that these good men are turning away from a God that they always believed in. My husband and I both came to Christ at a Harvest Crusade 14 years ago. He was such a strong believer. I pray over this all the time. If any one can help me pray for these men (and women) who deal at the front end of the aftermath of illness and tragedy. They need some special attention to deal spiritually with these things do they don’t lose faith. Thanks for letting me get that out.

    Dear Pastor Greg~
You are so right in your words that we are living in the last days. The Colorado shootings only point to what God said in His Word that the last days would be like. Yet, we believers have the wonderful hope that the horrific, tragic events that we see is not how it all ends. The bible also tells us believers in James 5:7-8 we need to be patient until the Lord comes~ “Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.”
Yes, we believers do dismay and pain at the evil that is before us as in this latest carnage, but we also need to remember, this is not the last chapter. God does have the final say, and for this I am eternally grateful. God Bless.

I was in a take down bank robbery. They had everybody on the floor, with guns on them. Violence is increasing. Pray for the people of Aurora. Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

Let’s continue to pray for the unsaved and unrepented and pray that the word of God through Harvest America reaches them. In Jesus’ Name.
