Weekend Musings

Hey everyone,

Whew! What a week this has been. Little Lucy has finally arrived and we are thanking God. Thanks also for all of your kind words and congratulations. Lucy and her mom are doing well.

Here is a new photo of a proud grandpa with his son and two granddaughters.

Giving thanks!

This Sunday morning at Harvest, I will be giving a message on how to give thanks to God no matter what your circumstances are. It is from my series in the book of Acts that is coming to a close soon, Upside-Down Living. The title is “Songs in the Night.”

Franklin Graham at Harvest

Don’t miss our Sunday night service, as we will have a special message from my longtime friend, Franklin Graham. We will also have Phil Wickham sharing his music. You can come and join us or watch online.

Talk to you soon.

Congratulations to all the Laurie Family!!! I am sooooooo glad for the update. It really helps as we feel we are connected to your family. Your daily messages are my morning kick-off for the day.

You have blessed me for many years, and that means your family too. I appreciate the pictures on the site. What a joy to pray for the Laurie family and praise God. Stay strong. Psalm 34

Stella looks just like Christopher in this photo. How precious she is. Our prayers are with Brittany and the girls, you, Cathe, Jonathan, and Brittany’s mom Shelly…

That is a great picture! Thanks for keeping us updated and sharing these with us.

Does this mean you’ll be spoiling both grandchildren for Christmas?

    Hey, Pastor Greg Laurie,

We met back in July when you were having a book signing for Lost Boy at Calvary Chapel Golden Springs. When I heard what happened to your son Christopher a couple weeks later, I prayed for you and your family and that the Lord would give you the strength you needed to help you and comfort you during your time of need.

At your crusade in Anaheim, you gave one of the most powerful and great speeches that brought me to tears. You’re a real inspiration to me and my family.

I’m so happy to hear that you now have another granddaughter. May the Lord bless you and comfort you and I pray that the Holy Spirit keeps doing a great work in you.

    Dearest Laurie Family,

We are so thankful to be part of the Harvest Family, more importantly, part of our Lord’s Family. We’ve weeped with you and we have rejoiced with you. We thank God for the blessing of Lucy, and thanks for sharing some of the most personal times your life with us. We continue to pray the Lord’s blessings for all the Laurie family. The upcoming days will be filled to the brim–though still with some sadness of not “seeing” Christopher, but knowing right where to find him. And some great joy as Lucy brings smiles to your hearts. Please know your church family keeps all of you close to our hearts and in our prayers.

I was on vacation reading your Book Lost Boy, when a friend called and told me about your son Christopher. Your family has been in my prayers daily.
God has blessed you with two beautiful granddaughters. Brittany has especially been on my mind. May she know the love of Jesus and be blessed.

Wow….I can see Christopher in Stella’s face in the picture of the girls with their mom.

I am so thankful that Lucy and Stella have caring, godly men in their lives to help raise them into godly young women. And I am so grateful that Brittney has all of you and her family to help her….I know her loss is still so fresh…..

God be with you every minute of every day, guiding and blessing you.

Greg, what a joy it was for Mom to have you and Cathe and Jonathan on Skid Row with her. She was excited to call and tell me about it. And what a sweet surprise to have baby Lucy arrive just in time. We pray for you and your family often. My first grandson arrives in just two weeks, we can’t wait. We love you all!

  14. Linda says:

Yeah Lucy, too adorable! Wow, that is so amazing. That is a great picture.

My husband and I were talking that it is time for her arrival; we have been in prayer for your family constantly. She is so adorable; love the head of hair. Your son jonathan is pretty cute too.

    We love you all!

Way too cute, little Stella and her baby sister. Wow, life is a miracle. These girls are beautiful just like their mommy and daddy.

Can’t help but smile when I think of how the Lord gave you and Cathe as parents a world of “toy trucks” and all those boy things. Now He has given you the world of “tea parties” and all those sweet little girlie things! 🙂 Praising Him for each gift.
