In case you haven’t heard the results of our recent events, here’s a copy of the official press release!

2012 Harvest Crusades Reach Live Audience of 500,000 People Via Stadium Events, Live Satellite and Internet Broadcasts to 2,400 Locales Across the U.S.

RIVERSIDE, Calif., Sept. 10, 2012—Harvest Crusades with Greg Laurie capped off the most significant year in its twenty-three year history when it concluded its final Harvest outreach of the season at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles this past weekend. In addition to drawing 61,000 people to Dodger Stadium, Sept. 8 – 9, the Harvest Crusades also recently drew 312,400 participants to its annual outreach at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, both in-person and via live satellite and internet broadcasts to 2,400 locations across the U.S.

It’s estimated that some 500,000 people participated in Harvest Crusade events in 2012, making it one of the largest evangelistic outreaches in U.S. history.

In addition to those watching the 2012 Los Angeles Harvest inside Dodge Stadium, another 37,530 people from 50 states and 115 countries tuned in to the live webcast to listen to Southern California pastor and evangelist Greg Laurie speak about the hope we can all find in God. Laurie’s message was particularly relevant in a city that holds significant creative influence over the rest of the world.

Echoing the lyrics of a song performed by the Newsboys, “My God’s not dead,” Laurie shared his personal story with the audience gathered at Dodger Stadium. “One day I asked myself,’ what if God is not dead?’ said Laurie. “I never before considered that I could have a relationship with God. I was not the ‘Christian’ type, but I asked God to forgive me of my sins and it was like a great weight fell from my shoulders.”

Laurie continued, “If you’re a prodigal, hang a u-turn and turn back to God. Deep down inside, we all want to belong—to love and to be loved. I have good news for you. You have a Father in Heaven who loves you. You may have walked away from God, but God has not walked away from you.”

Throughout the weekend some 7,389 people took Laurie’s words to heart and indicated decisions to enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ—5,936 inside of Dodger Stadium and 1,453 via a live webcast of the Los Angeles Harvest.

In addition to the message presented by Laurie, the 2012 Los Angeles Harvest featured music from top Christian artists Steven Curtis Chapman, Jeremy Camp, Newsboys, David Crowder, Phil Wickham, Lecrae, and the Katinas. Special guest Nick Vujicic, the founder of Life Without Limbs, joined Laurie on Sunday afternoon to discuss both suffering and the source of his joy and zeal for life.

Apart from those participating in the 2012 Los Angeles Harvest at Dodger Stadium in person and via the webcast, the outreach was also made available to 19,000 prisoners in the Los Angeles County Jail system, the largest system in the U.S. The 2012 Anaheim Harvest is archived and available for viewing at

Praise God, Hallelujah! The results of his passion for our Lord, many hard years of work and just overall faithfulness to the Glory of God. For me personally, Greg’s life is a testimony of the power of our Lord and Savior in ANYONE’s life. From a childhood that few people would want, the son of a mother married 7 times and not even knowing his father to a loving, God-honoring evangelist reaching the lost, Pastor Greg inspires me to no end. God bless him and his stewardship. And to all those who came to Christ as a result of people’s prayers and their attending these events, WELCOME TO THE FAMILY. <3 P.S. I attended all 4 events and was particularly touched by Nick's testimony. Please, I urge all of you, to continue to share Greg's Message and these events via Archive with any and all people you know and meet. I am doing so and the outpouring of positive feedback has been amazing. God bless you all. <3

My husband and I went 9/8/12. Everything was well organized with a spirt of excellence. We were truly blessed. I did not go down on the field, I am an older woman, we sat at the very top. But I quietly re-committed my heart back to Jesus. I am sure there were many more people like me who did the same who will not be a part of the numbers counted, but God knows.

This is the “greater works” that our Lord Jesus spoke about. I have followed Pastor Greg for years listening to him on the radio or television. He has always been revelant, real and raw!

May God Keep you and your family Pastor Greg.
May he keep you strong, watchful and discerning during the times we are in.

    God bless you, Pastor Greg.

What an amazing weekend to serve with you as one of your decision follow up counselors and connect with those who professed their belief in Jesus! It’s amazing how God has used you and each one of us that gladly volunteer to carry out God’s mission with you.

I pray also that this first step for those new dedications and re-dedications at Harvest Crusade will continue to grow in God’s word. We look forward to helping you Pastor Greg, to continue to reach out to everyone that will listen and share the good news of Jesus.

Thank you, again. And God bless you, Pastor Greg.

Thanks for the official press release of the crusades, Pastor Greg.

It is my prayer that the crusades’ statistics and numbers of those who professed belief in Jesus would not end with the last words written in many of the publications and medias; but that it will only be the beginning of hearts ignited to keep the Gospel, and pass it on. The simple, straight forward message you delivered is powerful–God sent His Son for a hurting world who desperately needs to turn to Him.

I look forward with anticipation of what God is going to do. God bless you, Greg for carrying out God’s mission, and also may God bless all those who worked behind the scenes in set-up (and tear downs), reach-outs, and, of course prayer.
