Hello World!

Hey everyone!

Welcome to my official blog, one that I actually do myself. This is a place for us to keep in touch on more of a personal basis. I will just be sharing thoughts, ideas, and recent happenings from my life here.

I hope you will visit often, ’cause I plan on updating this on a regular basis. Also, there is a place for you to offer up your comments on what YOU are thinking!

First of all, I have been working on my autobiography for the last seven months or so. Whew! It’s been a long process and quite an adventure. Frankly, it’s been hard at times to delve into my past. But it has also been both helpful and wonderful for me personally to see the grace of God at work in my life, from beginning to present!

A very talented writer named Ellen Santilli Vaughn helped me with this book. Ellen helped Chuck Colson with many of his books in the past. She also co-wrote It’s All About Him, the biography of Denise Jackson, wife of country star Alan Jackson, which debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list.

Lost Boy

I have also been working with a very talented team of folks on a documentary movie about my life. Today we finished filming for the documentary, and I will post a few photos soon.

The name of both projects is Lost Boy. It’s all based on this photo of me as a little kid with my Mom from the ’50s. This is also the cover photo we used for the book.

I look just like a lost little boy there, and I was. But God found me.

I would be willing to post an excerpt from my new book if you would like, so let me know in the comments section.

So there you have it, my first official blog entry on my first official blog! Take care, and God bless!

I really enjoyed your story. It made me think of my own dysfunctional family. I’ve only come through it with the Lord’s help and good down-to-earth pastors like you. May Good bless you and your family!

    Hi Pastor Greg

I missed the first part of your message, heard on WUGN, Family Life Radio, on Septeptember 24, 2008. (Recorded from the Harvest Conference, message delivered on Saturday night)

When I walked into the room, you were speaking of the loss of your son. My husband and I too lost our son. We take comfort in knowing we will see him again someday when we too reach Heaven, because we, like our son, have accepted Jesus as our Savior. In the mean time, our hearts ache with missing him. Only another parent who has lost a child can truly understand our pain.

Thank you for speaking on Heaven. We have a very special interest in learning all we can about heaven.

I would like an excerpt from your new book. You have inspired me as I receive your devotions. I came to Jesus in 1963, Chuck Smith helped me personally. I’m in a small town in MO. away from my family, grandchildren, and friends, you have saved my sanity on a daily basis!

Thank you Pastor Greg. When I heard that you started the blog and that we may post comments and or questions, I thought to myself, cool.

I’m still searching for my spiritual gifts, but I know through much prayer and continued attendance at Harvest, our heavenly father will guide my path.

    Pastor Greg,

I love this new blog you are doing. I have been an active member of Harvest for over 14 years and am so thankful that God has me there. Back then the Lord used you to bring me to Christ, thank you for your faithfulness to God’s Word.

Harvest is such a large church and you are so busy, I do not get the opportunity to get to know you more in person. Therefore this blog is very special as it allows me to know my pastor in a more personal way.

    God bless you Pastor Greg,

    Hello Pastor Greg!

I just want to say that you are an example for me, I have the calling to be an evangelist and I pray that God will use my life as He has used yours.

    More blessings for you!

    Pastor Greg,

Hi Greg. I would like to thank you so much for your wonderful messages that you preach from the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. You are a true man of God and are making a big difference in the world by preaching the Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!! Keep up the good work and I’ll catch up with you later. I’m getting ready to listen to you here in North Carolina at 9a.m. on 106.9 FM which was started by the Reverend Billy Graham. God Bless You Greg!

Pastor Greg is there a spot available in your
foursome in the April Golf Tournament fundraiser? I would fly all the way down from Alaska for that! We were actually just there on Palm Sunday ( I think i am the driver that irks you) Excellent message sir!

Pastor Greg, from one geek to another, I’m really happy you’ve opened up a blog.

My wife and I attended 3rd service on Sunday and what a blessing to be able to enjoy the weather and the word of the Lord. (My family said it was in the thirties in Michigan)

I’m very interested in reading the excerpt. I’m also reading your “Why?” book. I have lots of unsaved family and I think “Why?” is going to be the tool to crack the door wide open 😉

My wife and I have been attending for 2-2.5 years now. Before that, it had been several years since I attended church. Thanks so much for bringing us back! If you’re ever in Moreno Valley, you’ve got an open invitation for lunch…(We do have In-n-Out!)

    Take care and God Bless-

It’s great to know that you have a blog. My personal reason for liking this idea is that I can pick your brain from your blogs. I totally can relate and understand your writings and teachings. Sometimes they are daggers to my heart and in a Christian sense, that’s good.

I read the first part of your book. I haven’t bought it but I already like it. Your style of writing and personalizing the Bible teachings is just what my brain and my heart needs. The tone and the demeanor in your writings are very easy to relate to. Hence, that makes you a good teacher.

    Thanks for this blog

    Dear Greg,
I am very blessed to live here in Riverside and attend a church like Harvest. I thank you for all you do.
An autobiography is hard to write, but even harder to know that thousands of people will be reading some of your most inner thoughts and struggles. Yet, to know that you have looked deep inside yourself and come out a winner, is a clear mark of our Lord’s work in your life.
